I’m writing to share news about my next community cookbook and ask for your help:
I need to connect with the best Jewish bakers and dessert makers!
I’m Kenden, a psychotherapist who started Jewish Food Hero because I was looking to connect with other Jewish people who care about healthy food and modern Jewish life. Jewish Food Hero aims to create a positive community of members from all over the world who want to bond over recipes and Jew-ish stuff.
So far, Jewish Food Hero has created five cookbooks:
Feeding Women of the Bible, Feeding Ourselves
Beyond Chopped Liver:59 Jewish Recipes Get a Vegan Health Makeover
Feeding Women of the Talmud, Feeding Ourselves (WINNER OF THE JEWISH BOOK COUNCIL’S NATAN NOTABLE BOOK AWARD)
Kosher Macros: 63 Recipes for Eating Everything (Kosher) for Physical Health and Emotional Balance
I am passionate about the power of food to:
create personal and communal health
connect us with each other.
My next project is a community cookbook all about desserts! The book will share dessert recipes from the global Jewish community.
The dream is to gather dessert recipes from diverse Jewish bakers living all over the world.
Contributors do not need to be professional cooks or chefs, anyone can share their delicious recipe. I am looking for dessert recipes that Jewish people are making in their own homes today:
Doughnuts, cookies and cakes
Confectionery and candies
Sweet drinks
Chilled and frozen desserts
Pastries, sweet pies and tarts
Custards and puddings
Dessert recipes must be kosher, they can be dairy or pareve. Any kosher recipe (i.e. “healthier”, gluten-free, vegan, traditional “old school”, creative adaptations, national favorites) submission is welcome! Recipes must be easy for home-cooks to follow and make at home.
Do you have a recipe you’d love to share? Submit your best dessert recipes ideas!
To help me connect with a broad network of Jewish people, please forward this message to the best three Jewish bakers that you know.
Thank you so much for your support! I’m excited to start work on sharing these sweet Jew-ish recipes.
Kenden
P.S. Do you have a dessert recipe you’d love to share?
P.S.S. Forward this email to the 3 best Jewish bakers you know!
